You can unlock an endless mode, but it is specifically hidden object. The core gameplay takes place over the course of 30 games, and in the different difficulties you can either not compete against other (npc) "Pickers", or increasingly difficult "Pickers" in order to make the most money. It's a fairly interesting game, and (as previously stated) the hidden object function is optional. In each location there is a hidden object mini-game, which you can play for a free item to sell. But, though it can be played in each subsequent visit to a location (once per day), once you've located an item on the list you it's gone, and can't be grabbed again, so each time the mini-game gets easier. And on my second playthrough of the game, I realized that the items are always asked for in the same order each time, and the items are always in the exact same spot, so once you've done it once, you can do it really easily again, unless you don't have a very good memory. When you go to a location to find things to sell, you can choose to get the items apraised (a limited number of times, for a fee), but the value of the items doesn't change from game to game, meaning that if you take note of the value, you never actually have to bother getting them appraised again. In fact, the only thing that seems to change is what the "Hot Item" will be that day, and which items will sell in your store on a given day.TL;DRIf you can get it on sale, it's fairly worth it, you can play it through in only a few hours, but for the $3 I paid for it, that meant that it was roughly .50 cents an hour worth of entertainment, which is about the same as going to an arcade. It could probably be played again later, once you've forgotten the prices/locations of everything.. This is a fun little game, and a very unique HOG (hidden object game). I'm enjoying it so far, though I haven't played it long. I'm not sure I'm going to be a very successful shop owner, but I look forward to the challenge. I definitely recommend this game when it's on sale.. Well, again a game that is equal with pro and con. The pros are slightly keeping this game upwards. It is a hidden object game with a twist. You have the job to work as a picker and search for the most profitable stuff that is collected by other people. If you are into History chanels or Biography (A&E) style reality TV shows this game is made for you if you love Frank Fritz and Mike Wolf searching old barns, hoarders lawnyards and such. But you also have to sell the stuff you found, and sometimes you need "expertises" or a "restaurator".'nuff said about the background.Pro: - Fresh story of a hidden object game. You also need to haggle, and sometimes to search for matching stuff over different areas.- Good rendition of the idea, that at least keeps the interest as long as the game is new, what kind of character will be the next unlocked trader (one reminded me of Riff Raff of the Rocky Horror Picture show).- Auctioneering option, thus selling the stuff over a possibly random driven routine, it's some suspense when you sell a ring that had a net value of 8000 bucks and find out that it sold for far more than that. But sometimes you aren't so lucky.- Of course the Achievements may keep you at playing this game to reach a 100 % accomplishment, but on the other hand - for some people this doesn't even count.Con:- It still is a hidden object game, if you are not a fan of this genre, it might not be the right game for you. But on the other hand you might give it a try anyway. - It has a low replayability. If you run it through once or twice, you feel like in a grinding game. You know where each of the hidden object is put, you know how some personas react on underbidding them, you know how to get them favorable again (yes, there is a little and pleasing trick to this). Most Achievements are en passant, or no brainers if you like this term. Buy the game if you like hidden object games (which I do sometimes, since they are nice and easy going games most of the time) - if you don't like hidden object games, avoid it at all cost, because this game can get you mad by the pretension of being a American Picker Sim... which it isn't of course.. For a business management, casual, hidden item game it's surprisingly addictive and fun. Even if I didn't pick this up in a bundle I'd say it's worth buying standalone. Plenty of items to find, combine and sell. Also with varying degrees of difficulty and a leader board it's got an average replay value if you just want to pick up and play.. Pickers is a polished matching game brought to you by Mumbo Jumbo, that in my opinion has a reputation for delivering quality casual games. The graphics and music are well done although not mind blowing, and the premise is unique enough to keep puzzle gamers and strategy gamers alike interested. Although a casual game, winning can be quite challenging and you may find that your first time out it is hard to succeed. However, the tutorial does a good job of explaining the basics and there are enough side activities to keep the gameplay fresh. Both the Steam Overlay and widescreen modes are supported, although there is little in the way of graphics configuration beyong what the game will autodetect. I would recommend this title to anyone who likes puzzles or casual games and would consider it one of the best entries in its' genre.. I watch american pickers, so i would rate this game as pretty good. Honestly the game is not what I had hoped for. I was looking to have a game that allowed me a strong capitalist kind of approach. Let me bargin, set prices, treasure hunt. Now admitedly the game has this, but it's very limited. The Npc's often want high prices for stuff whether it's garbage or not, you have almost no choice but to♥♥♥♥♥♥them off when bargining, which the tutorial recomends you don't do. You can set prices, but it's an akward system and you have to spend money for extra space very quickly in the game, also the price setting it's self is just a pain. Futhermore, you have no refence of anything so you also are forced to spend money on an"expert opinion."As for teasure hunting, you basically have a lot of repeat items. By the 3rd games you've seen most of it. Lousy replay value. Everything was unlocked by the end of my first game, even though I only came in 2nd or 3rd. Thanksfully I paid a sale price but even then I'd not recommend it. So many things that coulda, shoulda, woulda..... It was a fun game, but not worth 10 bucks. I can recommend it if its on sale for $2-5.The game it self was enjoyable to play, somewhat addicting...but it felt very lacking. There are a lot of improvements they could have made such as more realistic van space (Seriously, everything takes the same space.)They could have also added a bit more store management\/ownership.The "hot" items aspect of the game rewards the player for playing badly. For example, you'll get a 1,000 dollar bonus for buying the hottest item category, but it will cause inexperienced players to miss out on big ticket items and not even look for them. One could miss out on picking a 25,000 dollar guitar....because they are digging for another category to get the bonus. This is a decent casual game, I'd recommend it for younger kids or people into hidden object games.. This game is surprisingly entertaining and can be addictive.. A novelty game which is interesting at first but quickly becomes a little tedious. Little replayability as everything is the same.No tutorial at the beginning makes understanding some of the components of the game trial and error (Or you just stumble accross them)
